The Name

Tinos was named after King Tinos, son of Cooconos or Kyknos (i.e. Swan).He was the first inhabitant of the island and the leader of a group of legionaries who lived here in prehistoric times. We are from Tinos, we love our island and we strongly believe in promoting our heritage through our identity. The design of the complex, the logo and the visual identity are inspired by our name, the Swan, the motifs of the dovecotes and the ornate acorns on the roofs of the island.
